About Kaye

Welcome. I’m Kaye. I thought that perhaps it might be useful for you to know a little more about me, to help you decide if a session with me could support you somehow. Many years ago, before I had any clue I would one day be sitting here in the therapist’s chair doing what I love, I tried therapy myself, several times, before I found the right modality, and the right person to help me. I have a strong belief in building a good therapeutic relationship based upon honesty and trust, and this process begins at the very first meeting, where my client is invited to assess, with me, if we are a good fit. I am clear in my mission to help heal as many hearts as I can, and I am here to help the people who need the type of support I can provide.

So, what am I offering you?
  • A safe space for you to be seen with compassion, heard without judgement, and have your feelings validated.

  • A commitment to understanding the way you make meaning of your life and past experiences in the present moment.

  • An opportunity to explore your limitations, and then transform these into a more unrestricted way of being in the world.

  • An invitation to experiment with creative processes to discover new parts of yourself, or rediscover old, forgotten parts of yourself, and integrate those into your present day.

  • A new lens through which to view yourself in your relationships with yourself, others, and your environment.

  • A deeper awareness of who you are.

My Background

I have an Applied Science degree in Medical Radiation Technology and have worked in the medical industry on and off for the past 25 years.

A couple of years into my career, I began noticing how many people arrived for a procedure and also had a personal story to tell. I used to think that perhaps I just needed to make them a cup of tea, sit them down, and listen!

Following the birth of my first child, I became interested in the underlying emotional causes of illness from holding chronic stress and tension in the body. My second child inspired me to learn more about emotional regulation; I became attuned in Reiki and studied Australian Bush Flower Essences.

After the birth of my third child, I became deeply aware of the importance of a well regulated the family system, the benefits of attachment parenting, and the effects of changes in family dynamics on both individuals and the family system. I turned to Gestalt therapy to help me make meaning of all the changes in my relationships, and after one session, I signed up to study an Advanced Diploma.

I completed my training in December 2014, at Terrigal Gestalt Institute, and in 2016 I also completed facilitator training in Family Constellations in Sydney with Maria Dolenc. I now operate a private practice in Blacksmiths, NSW.
